Dave Ruehlmann's Profile
Dave joined FST Asset Management in September, 2007,as Vice President
and brings more than 30 years of hospitality management experience
to his position. His accomplishments include leadership roles in two
mergers, the conversion of more than 40 hotels, and the development
of strong, diverse management teams.
From 1985 to 1998, Dave was associated with Promus Hotel Corporation and its
predecessor, Doubletree Hotels, playing an active role in the 1995 merger of
the two companies. Thereafter he joined San Francisco based Kimpton Hotels, serving
as Vice President Operations for the Pacific Northwest, Midwest and Canada.
Dave began his hospitality career in 1977 with Marriott Hotels in Newport Beach, California. Over the ensuing years he quickly rose to positions of greater responsibility including general manager, regional director, director new business transitions, regional vice president, and vice president operations.
Recognized as a leader in the Seattle hotel community, he has served
on the executive board of the Seattle-King County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and board
of directors of the Washington State Hotel & Lodging Association.
Dave is a 1974 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis.
