Brian Flaherty's Profile

Vice President and GM of Hotel 1000: Brian has over 25 years of hospitality management and leadership experience, including senior roles with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Maui, Toronto and The Olympic in Seattle. Flaherty joined Hotel 1000 in 2005 as vice president and general manager and will eventually assume leadership roles within MTM Luxury Lodging.

Prior to joining the opening team at Hotel 1000, Flaherty was COO of ERA CARE Communities (now ERA Living), a Seattle-based owner and operator of senior living communities in the Pacific Northwest.

Flaherty began his hospitality management career in several highly regarded restaurants in Toronto in the late 70’s. In the early 80’s he assumed various food and beverage roles with Marquis Hotels & Resorts in Southwest Florida. For over 16 years, he held key management positions with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts culminating with his role as general manager at the Four Seasons Olympic in Seattle from 2000 - 2003 (now a Fairmont hotel.)

During Flaherty's tenure, the Four Seasons Olympic, Atlanta and New York each received Exxon-Mobil 5 Star and/or AAA 5 Diamond awards. In 2000 Four Seasons Olympic was named "#1 Hotel in the World" by Institutional Investor magazine.

Flaherty and his wife of 24 years, Kitty have two daughters. Brian’s passions are his family, his work and being outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
